ABOUT

¡Hola–Bienvenidos to Into Mexico We Go! My name is Nico Race and I’ll be your resident guide to Moving, Living, & Exploring your new life in México!!! I hope you’re as excited as I am about living here. I’ve been here for a few years including 6-months traveling through a lot of the country. There is so much to see & experience in Mexico!

Just a quick backstory on me… since you’re not here for me… but to learn about México. I’m early 40s, American, childless, had a career in the military, master’s degree in public health, worked on National programs for the US Federal government, lived in Japan for 4 years, survived COVID in Lima, Perú for 2.5 years, have traveled to 40+ countries, and have lived or traveled out of the US for a total of 9 years and counting.

I’m really good at collecting information and helping to educate others. I’m passionate about helping people and being of service… hence the reason for this guide. Lastly, I arrived to live permanently in México, March 2022.

I’ve been recording what I personally did, what I should have done, as well as what other expats have told me they did or should have done. Ensuring you have wide-ranging info that is relevant & current.

Something for everyone: digital nomads, families, retirees, and people from other countries (non-US) (e.g., UK & Canadian, Aussie, & Kiwis). Those new in the country and living abroad, those who’ve done this before in a different country, or those already in MX and looking for more info to make their lives just a little bit easier.

I know you’ll find loads of useful info and good luck on your journey to: Moving to, Living in, & Exploring Mexico!

Into Mexico We Go!

¡Muchas gracias!
